9th & 9th is arguably one of the most well known neighborhoods in Salt Lake. Home to the Tower Theatre and a myriad of beloved local businesses, it’s a place rich in history and motivated by progress. 

In 2016, 900 S was renamed Harvey Milk Boulevard in honor of the first openly gay elected official and civil rights activist, Harvey Milk, whose assassination shook the LGBTQ community in 1978. While Harvey Milk has no direct ties to Salt Lake City, his ideals of inclusion and acceptance serve as the foundation for a commitment to progress in the 9th & 9th community.
